As the Councilor of the City of Tucson’s Ward 1 Office, Regina Romero once declared on her website “We’re here to serve you.” Ever wonder what would happen to someone who dared to question Regina Romero? What we learned and what you will soon see, it is now crystal clear, we mustn’t upset Tucson’s Dear Leader!
We will lay out everything that happened to a curious lad who asked a question, albeit a tough question, of Regina Romero. We ask our dear readers that they review the investigation “Vile & Repugnant” to refresh their memory on this matter.
We will begin with the timeline of the events related to this investigation. We have added the page number where these pages can be located so you don’t have to dig through 197 pages of an Office of Professional Standards investigation. By the way, the investigation in its entirety is posted below the timeline.
September 29, 2017- Margarita Romero-Durazzi is arrested for multiple DUI charges.
April 4, 2018-(page 15) Ms. Romero-Durazzi accepted a plea deal and was sentenced to probation that ended on July 4, 2019.
April 12, 2018- (page 24) Correspondence between what appears to be Regina Romero’s Ward 1 Office and Barraza Investigations is documented by certified mail receipt. Wait, who? *Barraza Investigations is a Phoenix based “fully bi-lingual private investigative agency.” Keep reading, there is more on this subject later in the investigation.
April 20, 2018- (page 25) Mr. Voss made his public record request for the body worn camera (BWC) footage of this incident.
January 9, 2019- Regina Romero announced her run for Mayor of the City of Tucson.
May 13, 2019- (page 23) The public record request is fulfilled by the Tucson Police Department. This is the request for the BWC footage for this incident as well as other requests. The time it took to fill this request was over one year.
July 8, 2019- (page 11) Mr. Voss delivered a “package” to Regina Romero’s Ward 1 Office. Included in this “package” was documentation from Tucson City Court, a copy of Officer Bonanno’s BWC footage, and of course, the letter, which included the author’s real name and real phone number.
*The next two entries are deliberately out of order. Usually the acknowledgement of a complaint is received after the complaint*
July 26, 2019- (page 41) Regina Romero contacted Tucson PD Chief of Police Chris Magnus and requested he provide clarification on her “lack of involvement in this case and dispel the patently false allegations of misconduct.”
July 18, 2019- (page 19) Office of Professional Standards personnel contacted Regina Romero to advise our Dear Leader they have been assigned to investigate Regina’s complaint…that Regina made…or will make…8 days later.
July 31, 2019- (page 36) “Officer Voss” was notified of this investigation by being advised he was cleared of any wrongdoing in this investigation.
August 1, 2019- THIS ARTICLE is published and we learn that Mr. Voss is not only “vile,” but he was found to be “repugnant” too. :(
