On November 6, 2024, Sheriff Chris Nanos went to the Tucson International Airport for a flight. A firearm was located in his bag (a Glock loaded with a round chambered and 4 rounds in the magazine...odd, but we'll get to that later!).
We heard about this little caper and completed a public record request through the Tucson Airport Authority. We would like to tip our hat to those guys because they filled our request in less than a week!
Legend has it the punishment for bringing a firearm through a TSA checkpoint is $15,000!! What are the chances our Sheriff pays a penny for his boo boo??
